How do I spend my days? Often I take a break from my own business to enjoy a leisurely spin through the neighborhood or the city on my bicycle on a not-terribly-hot day. How do I spend my evenings? Perhaps having dinner and laughter-filled conversation with friends. Hogging the microphone and hamming it up during karaoke. Or swing/blues dancing (it's easy, it's fun) in a non-nightclub atmosphere with a friendly regular crowd. For those quiet nights at home, I enjoy opening my mail to find a rental DVD and pop it into my home theater and enjoy the limitless legroom and seating positions my couch provides. I like to read nonfiction ... biographies, history, philosophy, libertarian websites, hobbies and the occasional guilty pleasures of less intellectual pulp. I play guitar, though not as much as I used to. I have an artistic background and education, and do enjoy museums, plays and other cultural pursuits. For some reason, I find badminton amusing, though not many people play it. Or picking up a Frisbee and flinging it around with a friend. I explore the world and expand my horizons on the Internet and often via jet plane on European vacations, and annoy my friends (if they are willing victims) with trip photos. I like to go for sporty country drives in my convertible with the top down, avoiding the interstate and billboards to explore the back roads and small towns ... and watch the cows and horses stare at me as I zoom along. I have a propensity for dabbling in activities that aren't very marketable ... music, visual arts, history, philosophy and other nonprofitable interests. As opposed to being culturally dull but a whiz at math or computer science and making my first million before age 30. Oh well. But I'm financially stable, have a successful freelance business, have no debts and am careful with money. And I love to joke and laugh and be sarcastic and witty, but mostly I like to make and hear YOU laugh ... that's always a pleasure.
