• I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ghana from 2004 to 2006. • I am currently an English Teacher in Hokkaido, Japan. • I am a student of sleight of hand, which is probably the world's most underrated art form. • I play the electric bass. I love funk, soul, metal and the blues. • Reason is my religion. I studied philosophy in college, and believe in the scientific process and methodical skepticism. Everyone says philosophy is useless, but no one can explain why without getting philosophical. • I can't choose just one religion, so I am a Unitarian Universalist almost by default. • Politically, I believe strongly in libertarian principles. • In the past, I used to work as a Health Educator and Public Relations Assistant for the American Red Cross of Alaska. • I hope my future work will involve writing, rhetoric, composition, teaching English as a second language, and philosophy.
