Become who you are

I am a well-mannered, freethinking young grad student/teaching assistant looking for a likeminded individual to spend time with. I don't have an abundance of shallow relationships but have several close friendships. Right now, you can expect a good time with a respectful young gentleman. If that's all that's in the cards, so be it, but I am also a rock of stability ready for a long term relationship. This is a common sort of line albeit usually expressed in less "wordy" language, but you can take it to the bank: one date and you'll realize me pulling off a 'fake' persona is just not happening. I do not NEED, a relationship, I WANT one, an important difference. I am, like most, a work in progress, but am an overall confident guy ready for an enjoyable time, and if things progress naturally, a lasting relationship. I'm not obnoxious or mean-spirited about it, but I am a definite agnostic (not convinced God exists or doesn't exist either way) and that's unlikely to change. I am a quite accepting person and am not looking necessarily for the next superstar professor as a partner or friend, though that's not a bad quality either. I enjoy sports (but am not obsessed nor tied to them), the arts (specifically theatre and concert music), some popular music (alt.rock,pop,old school rock, whatevs), movies (especially noir and relationship-complex ones), good books, strolls in the park, trail hiking, good dining, and a lot more. I have well-developed views on many issues, but I lean libertarian in general. I think you'll find my political views unique, if not refreshing.
