Libertarian Passions

Sometimes serious, sometimes goofy. Basically responsible and stable (I've been doing the same job and have lived at the same address for going on 13 years, I pay all my bills on time, and have never bounced a check) but am getting bored with same-old same-old. Not religious in the conventional sense (I think Jesus is cool. So is Buddha). I respect spiritual people. Disillusioned with politics. I am comfortable with my income, but then, I have low-budget tastes. I am a veteran (4 years active duty Army), who has evolved into a pacifist. War is stupid, y'all. I am on the fit end of the 'teddy bear' physique range (I'm mildly chunky). I am physically active. I sport a beard because I'm too lazy to shave. I am a vegetarian. I spent part of my youth on a farm and got to know the animals on a first name basis. It's harder to kill and eat someone after you've gotten to know them. Musical taste? If it's good, I like it. I have an off-beat sense of humor/taste (can you handle John Waters' early movies? How about Beavis and Buttead? 'The Office' is brilliant -- I wish Michael Scott was my boss. My boss is not funny.). I am a college grad. Woop de doo. I can be painfully shy at times, but I can also be charming socially. I am not a party animal (don't expect me to bar-hop with you), but prefer small get-togethers with friends. Dogs [i]ARE[/i] better than us. I am reminded of this everyday because I live with 3 dogs. They are pure spirits. Too bad their breath stinks. Watching sports/NASCAR on TV is a waste of time. I am not a red-hot stud, but I do like the sex thing once in a while (in a committed relationship only, of course). Just cuddling is cool too. Swingers scare me. I do not have an 'ideal' woman in mind -- my idea of beauty is fairly inclusive. Race is not an issue. Age is not critical. There is such a thing as chemistry, tho. We'll either have it, or we won't. It's up to the stars to decide that. Neatness freaks need not apply.
